Daniel Cummings performs double duty as both conductor and soloist in this program that opens with Mozart’s delightful Symphony No. 29, one of the composer’s most popular early symphonies. Mr. Cummings then performs the courtly and stylized Piano Concerto No. 4 by J.S. Bach. The Chancel Choir of First United Methodist Church joins the New Mexico Philharmonic for the concluding work, the tuneful and exuberant Missa Sancti Nicolai, written by Haydn in celebration of his longtime patron Nikolaus Esterházy.
