A new composition, by Albuquerque’s own Emmy Award-winning composer Daniel Steven Crafts, opens the exhilarating penultimate concert of the series. In addition, this program features the winners of the annual Music Guild of New Mexico’s Jackie McGehee Young Artists’ Competition. This concert is always an audience favorite as the New Mexico Philharmonic introduces the best and brightest in Albuquerque’s young, new talent. The evening concludes with Duruflé’s contemplative Requiem, written in tribute for the composer’s late father. Quintessence: Choral Artists of the Southwest perform.
