  • Assistant/Utility Horn (Section | Temporary, Possibly Permanent) (Approximately 50 services may be offered)

  • 1st Violin, Associate Concertmaster (Associate | Tenure Track) (Approximately 84 services may be offered)
  • Finalists may be advanced to the final rounds of the Section Violin audition

  • 1st Violin, Chair 5 (Section | Tenure Track) (Approximately 81 services may be offered)
  • 1st Violin, Chair 6 (Section | Tenure Track) (Approximately 81 services may be offered)
  • 1st Violin, Chair 7 (Section | Tenure Track) (Approximately 75 services may be offered)

  • 2nd Violin, Chair 4 (Section | Tenure Track) (Approximately 84 services may be offered)

If the winner is a current member of the section, any resulting vacancy may be offered to the most qualified candidate.

2024/25 Season Per-Services Rates:

  • Section: $142.74
  • Assistant/Associate Principal: $164.15
  • Principal: $178.43
  • Associate Concertmaster: $178.43 (negotiable as per CBA)

The New Mexico Philharmonic guarantees to offer tenured and tenure track musicians a minimum of (16) services during the winter season.

All positions include instrument insurance coverage.

Audition will be reserved upon receipt of resume and deposit.
