Popejoy Hall / 203 Cornell Dr NE / Albuquerque, NM 87106
We have exciting concerts coming up next season, including the return of Olga Kern to the Popejoy stage on October 12 with a performance of Rachmaninoff’s virtuosic Piano Concerto No. 3. Then, the orchestra will be commemorating 100 years since Puccini’s death with “Tosca in Concert” on November 16. The new year will start with a concert on January 18 titled “Mozart & Salieri,” a curated program including music from the movie Amadeus, such as Mozart’s Requiem, as well as Rimsky-Korsakov’s opera Mozart and Salieri. Midori will be back again with the NMPhil performing Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto on February 1. Other concerts will feature works by Barber, Copland, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky. The season will conclude with the epic Mahler Symphony No. 3. All concerts will take place at Popejoy Hall.
