Gabriel Landstedt is a sixteen-year old home-schooled student from Los Lunas. He began studying piano at age five, and is currently studying under Professor Falko Steinbach as a concurrent enrollment student at University of New Mexico.
Gabriel has played at several studio recitals in Keller Hall at UNM. He was invited to participate in the Lindlar 2011 Internationales Klaveirfestival in Lindlar, Germany in summer 2011 where he performed a solo recital.
Gabriel placed first in the 2011-2012 MTNA (Music Teacher’s National Association) Senior Piano State Competition and was awarded ‘Most Promising” at the Santa Fe Pro Musica 2011 Young Artists Scholarship Competition. He also accompanies for a choir at his church.
Though focusing his interest in music, Gabriel also has a love of writing and is in the process of authoring a fantasy-fiction novel which he hopes to publish. He also enjoys soccer and other sports.
