Two centuries after the death of Ludwig van Beethoven, the NMPhil celebrates the enduring legacy of one of classical music’s most influential figures with his spirited Overture to The Creatures of Prometheus and vibrant Eighth Symphony. Joining the orchestra is acclaimed pianist Daria Podorozhnova, an award-winning artist recognized for her expressive performances and technical brilliance, performing Mendelssohn’s dazzling First Piano Concerto, a work the composer himself frequently performed throughout Europe.
