Gounod’s elegant Petite Symphonie offers lyrical melodies and warm textures that evoke the refinement of 19th-century salon music. The program concludes with bold and resonant selections for brass ensemble, showcasing the brilliance, power, and precision of the NMPhil’s superb brass section.
