We are deeply grateful to be able to perform live music again. As a sign of our deep gratitude for all the generosity and support of our Donors and Subscribers, most of the 2021/22 Season of Classical Concerts at Popejoy will be streamed live and some of the content will be available on demand after the scheduled concert date.
Access can be obtained by purchasing the series on NMPhil Now!, making a minimum $200 donation, or by being a concert subscriber.
We are looking forward to celebrating our 10th-anniversary season with you during the 2021/22 season. Your support over the years has been amazing, and it is how we got here, together. Thank you so much. We hope you are and will continue to stay healthy and are getting vaccinated if possible. We know the future is still uncertain, but seeing the light at the end of the tunnel is inspiring all of us.
We planned a wonderful Popejoy Classics concert series (pdf, 649 KB) that includes a Beethoven Festival, Carmina Burana, and amazing soloists such as Midori, Olga Kern, Alexander Gavrylyuk, and our own Krzysztof Zimowski.
The Beethoven Festival features Albuquerque favorite Olga Kern in a whirlwind performance of four of Beethoven’s Piano Concertos, as well as other Beethoven gems performed by your NMPhil. The first two concerts, although on the subscription as opt-out possibilities, will take place at Popejoy Hall as well.
Your safety and the safety of our musicians remain our priority, and we will not do anything to jeopardize that. We are hoping that the vaccination rates continue to increase in New Mexico and that together, possibly still with masks, we will be able to keep everyone who attends our concerts safe. If we need to cancel concerts, the good news is that the NMPhil does not receive the proceeds of subscription and single-ticket sales until we perform. All the funds are held in escrow by UNM Ticketing and once we perform, UNM transfers the proceeds of the ticket sales to us. If we must cancel a concert, the money will be there to send refunds to you, our audience.
I hope that you will consider becoming a new subscriber and will join us in our optimism and preparation for our 10th-anniversary season.
New subscribers may apply for season tickets order forms will be processed after August 2, 2021 in the order they were received. The deadline for new subscription orders is end of day August 2, 2021. Single-ticket sales begin on August 16, 2021.
