Brad studied violin at the Eastman School of Music and has worked with several prominent teachers throughout his career, including Pamela Frank, Eliot Chapo, Charles Castleman, Willa Dean Howells, and Cármelo de los Santos. Before joining the New Mexico Philharmonic, Brad served as a member of the first violin section of the Boston Philharmonic and can be heard on many of their commercial recordings. As a guest soloist, Brad has performed violin concertos with the Dallas, Richardson, New York Symphonic Arts, Greenwich Village, Dallas Civic, Sewanee Festival, and New Mexico symphony orchestras, among others. In addition to his musical activities, Brad also works as a psychologist and supervises clinical postdoctoral fellows at the Cognitive Behavioral Institute of Albuquerque. Brad performs on a very fine violin by Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume, 1870, modeled on an example by Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesu, 1743, “Il Cannone.”
